Transport
TRANSPOST UPDATE!!!
We have been informed that the S-Bahn will not be running during the Equip weekend due to track maintenance. Replacement buses will be operating, but travel may take slightly longer than usual.
Getting to the venue:
-
At any S-Bahn station where you would normally take the S2, look for buses marked “SEV” heading toward Markt Schwaben (not Berg-am-Laim or Ostbahnhof).
-
If you are near the U2 metro line, you can take Bus #234 toward Feldkirchen.
-
Google Maps and local transport apps should also provide updated travel options throughout the weekend.
Please allow extra travel time when planning your journey each day.
Munich is very well served by public transport (MVV Service), which includes the following:
-
S-Bahn (Fast, but less frequent; every 20 mins)
-
U-Bahn (Metro/Underground; usually every 10 mins)
-
Bus/Tram (Alternative times)
The closest S-Bahn & U-Bahn station to our church is Feldkirchen. It takes you about 15 min to get to the city centre from there.
TICKETS
Ticket machines are easily accessible in different languages at each station and you can pay by cash or card. Make sure to always stamp your ticket, or else you may receive a €60 fine! (Certain tickets are "pre-stamped", so just double-check.)
For many, the most efficient option is a Group Day ticket for Zone M. This gives you unlimited travel for up to 5 people within the 'white' City Centre zone. However, you can also purchase single day tickets or a short trip ticket, depending on your travel plan.
TAXI SERVICE
One of the church members of Jesus Der Weg has decided to offer a 10% discount for anybody wantng to use his taxi service. You can book directly with him here:

Parking
Parking at the venue is extremely limited due to surrounding industrial buildings. Please do not plan to park at the venue itself. We strongly recommend parking at: Heimstettener See (Lake Heimstetten)
This parking area is approximately 500m from the venue — about the same walking distance as the S-Bahn station.
Because it is a holiday weekend, parking may cost approximately €2.50 per day (cash only), so please come prepared with cash.
You are welcome to drop off passengers at the venue before parking.
And honestly… after sitting through sessions all day, the walk may help us all get a few extra steps in!

Rise Up Youth Event
Friday 15th May from 19:00 to 22:00 for all 12 to 25 year olds.
Rise Up is a one-night youth & young adults event, gathering a generation of young people to encounter Jesus, worship and spend time together. Whether you follow Jesus, have questions, or just want to see what it’s about, you belong here.
For all under 18-year-olds attending the Rise Up Youth & Young Adults event on Friday night, please note that the event will finish at 22h00. It is important for parents to know that in Germany under 18's are not able to travel unaccompained on public transport after 22h00 so we would encourage you to keep this in mind when making your travel arrangements.

//
Babies and Kids
A Parents room where babies/toddlers can play and parents can view and listen to the sessions is available for kids up to the age of 3 years.
A full Kids Equip for all 4 to 11 year olds is available during the sessions.

You’re welcome to enjoy them at the venue or take your lunch to the nearby lake for a more picturesque spot during the lunch break.

Free Evenings
We encourage you to enjoy one of Munich’s great restaurants in the city centre. Enjoy a walk in the Olympiapark or the English Garden (weather permitting). Please note that most restaurants are well frequented, so we would strongly recommend making reservations ahead of time. Most places can be booked online and the friendly staff from Jesus Der Weg can assist you, should you need any help.
